When I was in junior high school, I took on some projects in shop class – with quality, figured wood – teak if I recall correctly. That, and all my future attempts turned into F graded expensive firewood.
Craftsmanship started coming to me when I took up custom knife making and spectacular wood became very striking when properly finished. Desert Ironwood – Box Elder Burl – Bocote – Amboyna – Thuya Burl – all captivated me and still do to this day.
I’ve been a shooter all my life (I’m 70 at this writing) and nearly a decade ago, I became addicted to clay target shooting. I suck at it, but addicted none the less. I still have the Mossberg my Dad bought me for my 16th birthday, as well as the 870 I carried for years on back country patrol – often spending days in a wet scabbard. I have a bond with those guns, but I’ve come to a point in my life where I have a special appreciation for having a really pretty one in my arms – and here we are.
I have three fancy custom stocks of my own and I hope to provide you with the opportunity for the same.
We are located in picturesque rural Mountain View County in Alberta, Canada, so pricing is in Canadian dollars. (That’s good for most of you because our dollar is comparatively low) – and I’ll just avoid political commentary on that circumstance.
